The Economic Complexity Index (ECI) and the Product Complexity Index (PCI) are, respectively, measures of the relative knowledge intensity of an economy or a product.
Here we provide estimates of economic complexity based on trade data (ECI trade), patent data (ECI technology), research publication data (ECI research), and software employment data (ECI software).
These four complexity measures provide a better ability to explain future economic growth than measures of trade complexity alone (more details).
