Description Papermaking Machines are used to make paper. Paper is made from wood pulp. Papermaking Machines compress the wood pulp into a sheet that is placed on a wire mesh screen. The screen is immersed in an aqueous solution of pulp that is called the wet end of the papermaking process. As the papermaking machine distributes the pulp on the screen, water is drained through the screen and the mesh catches the pulp. The pulp is then dried to hold the paper together. The paper is then cut to size and a coating is applied, usually in the form of a water-soluble adhesive.
