Overview SADC (Southern African Development Community) is an International Organization composed by South Africa, Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Eswatini, Malawi, Lesotho, Seychelles, and Comoros. In 2022, SADC exported $302B (1.27% of global exports) and imported $245B (1.03% of global imports). Its largest exporter, South Africa exported $147B, which corresponds to 48.7% of the total exports. On the other hand, the largest importer, South Africa, imported $113B, which is 46.1% of the total imports of Southern African Development Community.
Trade In 2022, SADC's most exported products were Petroleum oils, oils from bituminous minerals, crude ($40.5B), Gold in unwrought forms non-monetary ($29.3B), Copper cathodes and sections of cathodes unwrought ($19.2B), Bituminous coal, not agglomerated ($12.4B), and Diamonds (jewellery) unworked or simply sawn, cleaved ($11.9B). Partners In 2022, SADC's exports went primarly to China ($66.6B), India ($21.1B), United Arab Emirates ($19.7B), United States ($14.7B), and Switzerland ($12.2B). The same year, SADC's imported primarily from China ($48.4B), South Africa ($26.4B), India ($18.8B), United Arab Emirates ($12.1B), and Germany ($11.1B).
