Description Sensitising emulsions are implemented during the printing process, in order to produce a relief on the surface of a film. The emulsion is applied onto the surface of the film, and then a positive is placed on top and exposed to light. The emulsion's blue-sensitive silver halide grains are reduced, while the red-sensitive grains are not. This creates a relief on the film, which is used to create a contrast in colour.
